Leads
Importing a CSV
- Open Leads and choose Import leads.
- Choose a CSV file, or paste its text: UTF-8, at most 50,000 rows and 15 MB, its first row naming the columns. Commas, semicolons and tabs all work.
- Match the columns: the console guesses them from their names, and you check. Only the LinkedIn profile URL is required. The fields are LinkedIn profile URL, First name, Last name, Company, Job title, Location, Email, Company domain.
- Optionally, Keep other columns as custom fields: each can then go into a message as
{{custom.<name>}}. - Check the Sample and choose Import leads.
The import’s page then counts, as it goes:
- Added: new to the workspace.
- Already here (updated): known already, by their profile; only the columns the file has a value for change, so a blank cell never wipes what was there.
- Excluded: on an exclusion list (below), neither added nor updated.
- Left out (no usable profile URL). A value that cannot be right, such as a broken email address, is dropped and the rest of its row kept; the first such rows are listed under Rows to look at.
When it is done, choose a campaign and Add these leads to the campaign. Leads can also come from your own tools through the API, Zapier or Make.
Moving in from HeyReach or Expandi
Export your leads from the old tool as CSV, then in Leads choose Move in from another tool and the tool. The same import runs, with one more part:
- Which column names the old campaign (or one campaign for everyone), and which columns say the old tool already reached the lead: a status, or when it invited, connected, messaged or got a reply. The console ticks the likely ones; when a value is unclear, the lead counts as reached.
- Every lead comes in. Those the old tool reached also go on the workspace’s exclusion list, so Reachpool never contacts them again.
- Each old campaign becomes a draft here holding the leads not reached yet, with a starter sequence: view the profile, send an invitation, wait three days, and if accepted, a short message.
Nothing runs by itself: edit each draft’s message, choose its senders and start it.
Exclusions
An exclusion keeps someone out of imports and campaigns. It can name a person (their profile URL or LinkedIn URN) or a company domain, which also covers its subdomains: acme.com keeps out eu.acme.com. An email address counts as its company’s domain. A list belongs to one workspace, or to the whole organization (written by owners and admins).
Reachpool also leaves out, by itself, anyone a sender of your organization invited, messaged or sent an InMail to in the last 90 days. Contacts marked do-not-contact in HubSpot are kept out too, once HubSpot is connected.
In Leads, Exclusions shows both lists: This workspace and Every workspace. Paste profile URLs, domains or email addresses, one a line, or choose a CSV file (its first column), give a reason if you like, and Add to the list; the console says how many were added, were already there, or could not be read. Remove takes one off. The API does the same with /v1/exclusions.
Finding emails
On a lead without an email, Find email looks for their work address. On a campaign’s page, Find emails does it for every lead in it who has none. Each email found costs one credit; a search that finds nothing costs nothing. See credits.
